VIÑA EL SEÑORITO DE ERCAVIO

Organic and handpicked grapes fermented in amphorae and matured for 9 months in French oak barrels

Cencibel/Tempranillo shows off again, in this beautifully complex wine which has taken advantage of old winemaking techniques to showcase the stunning and defined red fruit characteristics this grape is known for. The tannins have been well-managed and are soft as is the present acidity which lingers on the finish.

THE STORY
BODEGAS MAS QUE VINOS

Three friends – three winemakers

Bodegas Mas Que Vinos is more than just wine… That is what it means!

The story began in 1998 where 3 winemakers, each with extensive winemaking experience, became friends and decided to join forces:  Margarita Madrigal, Alexandra Schmedes and Gonzalo Rodríguez.

The foundation for their winery dates back to 1851 to Gonzalo’s family winery in Dosbarrios, located in the Mesa de Ocaña, close to Toledo.

They started their joint venture in 1999, basing their winemaking philosophy on the quality and characteristics of the the indigenous grape varieties: Cencibel (another name for Tempranillo), Garnacha, Airén and Malvar.

All the vineyards are farmed organically, without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers. All wines are vegan as no animal products are used in the process of making the wines. The winery also practise sustainability and are working towards continually reducing their CO2 emissions and reusing and recycling In order to protect the environment.
